This update to the X11 Intrinsics drops support for K&R C, as well as improving its use of Standard C features, notably const. Matt Dew did the initial conversion of this specification from nroff to DocBook. Later, I expanded on that, improving the formatting, as well as updating the function prototypes in the specification as well as the related manual pages. Matthieu Herrb modified the Intrinsics header files to drop support for K&R C, leaving the Standard C prototypes. Later, he applied my changes to complete the conversion of the library source from a mixture of K&R C and Standard C to just use the standard language features.
