- mention you can't install with less than 16MB those days
- hardware list slight updates and precisions
- document correctly which drivers are available on which install media
- mention that the root partition needs to be located in the first 8GB (and
perhaps a smaller limit on older machines) to boot properly
this includes some contributions from nick@ and some feedback from deraadt@

via ifconfig -m, there is no need to suggest canonical media flags on
some arches, especially since the end user might have a different
interface with different flags; instead, be more cosy and mention that
looking at the manual page for the interface might be helpful for
desperate cases.
Thus, merge the OpenBSDInstallNet and OpenBSDInstallNet2 macros, and
remove thde in-between text for the arches that had such a paragraph.

typos and layout issues.
This needs some proofreading as well as adjusting the footnotes
accordingly to RAMDISK* kernel status, to come later.
|
|
No text changes except for harmonization, and the blurb about network
interface flags has bene slightly changed for some arches.

Thanks to Tekram for donating a couple of cards and a NetBSD driver by
Erich Chen of Tekram. Thanks to Martin Akesson for a first port of the
NetBSD driver to OpenBSD and thanks to Ashley Martens for the major
cleanup to make it presentable and style(9)ish.
Only tested on i386 at this time.

Also, clarify the Promise controller description (suggested by nick@)

- try to have consistent order, across arches, in the list of possible
installation media.
- alpha can't install over nfs, but macppc can.

From Jason Ackley <jason@ackley.net>, thanks.

o Clarify that cksum(1) and md5(1) are actual commands. Some
systems only have md5(3) functions and the corresponding
command is something different.

- doesn't shout, improve style a bit
- mention you can boot from cd-rom. Really. Yes you can.
- don't support upgrades from prehistoric versions (< 2.0), so don't babble
about the partition ID change or the so-called new shared libraries
- get more text sync'ed with other arches
And with the help of mickey@
- don't mention you can install over NFS, none of the floppies or the cd-rom
has nfs support
Thanks to mickey@ for insightful feedback

- try to keep description information together, with no duplicate
circumlocutions
- arches which have several floppies shouldn't say there is THE floppy,
then THE floppy, and once more THE floppy. Change plural accordingly for
the general description of earch floppy image possibilities, if more
than one.

While there, remove a duplicated sentence on hp300 and add the complete
bsd.rd installation description to the vax notes.

does support both INIC-940 and INIC-950 chips. So allow iha to
recognize and claim INIC-940 based cards, and change documentation to
reflect new support.
Thanks to Initio for providing the card to test.

reminded repeatedly.. *grumble*
