2000-07-24printf() and %s pedantry, from itojun channelling kris@freebsdPaul Janzen
2000-06-30warnx?/errx? paranoia (use "%s" not a bare string unless it is aTodd C. Miller
constant). These are not security holes but it is worth fixing them anyway both for robustness and so folks looking for examples in the tree are not misled into doing something potentially dangerous. Furthermore, it is a bad idea to assume that pathnames will not include '%' in them and that error routines don't return strings with '%' in them (especially in light of the possibility of locales).

* except when it is escaped with a `\' at the end of the line - fix remaining .Nm usage as well - this is from a patch I received from kwesterback@home.com, who has been working on some scripts for fixing formatting errors in mdoc'd man pages Ok, so there could be a cost/benefit debate with this commit, but since I have the patch we might as well commit it...

1997-04-27COPY -> INSTALL_COPY and STRIP -> INSTALL_STRIPTodd C. Miller
This fixes namespace problems where STRIP is sometimes used as the name of the strip(1) to use and other times used as the flag to send install(1) when stripping (or not). COPY doesn't have this problem (yet) but was poorly named.

1997-01-02getc returns int not char.Dale S. Rahn
This matters on some ports, such as powerpc. (signed vs unsigned issue).
