2003-10-31 | Update to NetBSD libedit (from Oct 1, 2003), adding some string | Otto Moerbeek
cleaning and history bug fixes. The code includes GNU libreadline functionality, but the corresponding header files are not installed, since some libreadline functions are missing. There are some minor API changes, notably: old: EditLine *el_init(const char *, FILE *, FILE *); new: EditLine *el_init(const char *, FILE *, FILE *, FILE *); old: HistEvent *history(History *h, int op, ...); new: int history(History *h, HistEvent *ev, int op, ...); plus some changes in operation names. See editline(3) for details. Tested by djm@, mouring@, jmc@. ok deraadt@

2002-12-03 | Crank all library major numbers. Needed due to the fact that we | Todd C. Miller
now build libraries with propolice enabled. Without this, existing binaries (such as ports/packages) that link with any system library other than libc will fail with an undefined symbol of "___guard" (__guard on ELF). Pointed out by markus@ and discussed with deraadt@
2002-11-29 | riduculous spelling; torh@bogus.net | Theo de Raadt
2002-02-19 | We live in an ANSI C world. Remove lots of gratuitous #ifdef __STDC__ cruft. | Todd C. Miller

2002-02-16 | Part one of userland __P removal. Done with a simple regexp with some minor ↵ | Todd C. Miller
hand editing to make comments line up correctly. Another pass is forthcoming that handles the cases that could not be done automatically.

2001-04-13 | Another case where we need to use u_char, not char for array | Todd C. Miller

1999-07-09 | - remove all trailing whitespace | Aaron Campbell
* except when it is escaped with a `\' at the end of the line - fix remaining .Nm usage as well - this is from a patch I received from kwesterback@home.com, who has been working on some scripts for fixing formatting errors in mdoc'd man pages Ok, so there could be a cost/benefit debate with this commit, but since I have the patch we might as well commit it...
1999-07-07 | when using `-' as a negative sign, escape it with a backslash so troff knows | Aaron Campbell
it's not supposed to be a hyphen/dash
1999-07-07 | The proper order of the ``introductory'' macros in a man page is .Dd/.Dt/.Os. | Aaron Campbell
Out of the approximately 1450 man pages, only about 90 of them were wrong. Thanks to kwesterback@home.com for coming up with a script and patch to repair this. The patch also inserted a .Os macro in the few man pages that were missing one.
1999-05-23 | remove argument from .Os macros so value in /usr/share/tmac/mdoc/doc-common | Aaron Campbell
is used instead; kwesterback@home.com

* Portability fixes: __const -> const BADSIG -> SIG_ERR int flags -> u_int flags #if __STDC__ -> #ifdef __STDC__ * Don't allow CSWTCH to interfere with CSUSP on __SVR4 systems. * Return -1 if the terminal set operation resulted in dumb terminal settings. * Handle properly the case where the last line in the sourced file does not have a trailing '\n'. 1997-06-10 | Change a long to and int. | Todd C. Miller
1997-04-27 | COPY -> INSTALL_COPY and STRIP -> INSTALL_STRIP | Todd C. Miller
This fixes namespace problems where STRIP is sometimes used as the name of the strip(1) to use and other times used as the flag to send install(1) when stripping (or not). COPY doesn't have this problem (yet) but was poorly named. |
