2007-10-02 | Apply (with slight variants) this elimination of bzero() with M_ZERO: | Kenneth R Westerback
- if ((mapstore = malloc(mapsize, M_DEVBUF, - (flags & BUS_DMA_NOWAIT) ? M_NOWAIT : M_WAITOK)) == NULL) + if ((mapstore = malloc(mapsize, M_DEVBUF, (flags & BUS_DMA_NOWAIT) ? + (M_NOWAIT | M_ZERO) : (M_WAITOK | M_ZERO))) == NULL) return (ENOMEM); - bzero(mapstore, mapsize);
2006-06-15 | Rework the interrupt code, shaving some cycles off in the process. | Brad Smith
Rather than an "iointr" routine that decomposes a vector into an IRQ, we maintain a vector table directly, hooking up each "iointr" routine at the correct vector. This also allows us to hook device interrupts up to specific vectors. From thorpej NetBSD Tested by myself and a number of end-users.
2006-05-21 | Check for stale flags in the DMA map. | Brad Smith

2006-05-21 | - _bus_dmamap_load_buffer_direct_common -> _bus_dmamap_load_buffer_direct | Brad Smith
- fix _bus_dmamap_load_(uio/mbuf)_direct panic messages. - s/vm_page_alloc_memory/uvm_pglistalloc/ in panic message. From NetBSD

2006-05-21 | Implement dmamap_load_uio for SGMAPs. | Brad Smith
From NetBSD | |||
2006-05-12 | Keep track of which DMA window was actually used to map the | Brad Smith
request (not always the passed in DMA tag if we try direct-map and then fall back to sgmap-mapped). Use the actual window when performing dmamap_sync and dmamap_unload operations. From NetBSD ok martin@

2006-03-27 | rev 1.30 | Brad Smith
Don't increase the segment index if we skipped a zero-length mbuf. rev 1.22 Since the SGMAP buffer load subroutine doesn't need to modify the segment index, don't pass it by reference. From NetBSD ok miod@

2006-01-29 | Add a alpha_shared_intr_reset_strays() function that resets the stray | Martin Reindl
interrupt counter for a given shared interrupt descriptor. When an interrupt is successfully handled, reset the strays counter, thus preventing a "slow leak" from eventually shutting off the interrupt vector. from NetBSD via KUDO Takashi
2005-10-28 | no more Mach-macros | Martin Reindl
2004-12-25 | Use list and queue macros where applicable to make the code easier to read; | Miod Vallat
no functional change. | |||
2004-11-09 | Do not map empty mbufs (m_len == 0) in bus_dmamap_load_mbuf() as these mappings | Claudio Jeker
may disturb the dma as seen in ipw(4). Emtpy mbufs are at the beginning of the mbuf chain and are as example a "side-effect" of a previous m_adj() call. OK miod@ mickey@ jason@ markus@

2001-07-25 | Change the pmap_enter interface to merge access_type and the wired boolean | Artur Grabowski
and arbitrary flags into one argument. One new flag is PMAP_CANFAIL that tells pmap_enter that it can fail if there are not enough resources to satisfy the request. If this flag is not passed, pmap_enter should panic as it should have done before this change (XXX - many pmaps are still not doing that). Only i386 and alpha implement CANFAIL for now. Includes uvm updates from NetBSD.

boolean_t pmap_extract(struct pmap *, vaddr_t, paddr_t *). Matches NetBSD. Tested by various people on various platforms.

2000-11-08 | Merge in big portions of the improvements NetBSD did to their alpha port. | Artur Grabowski
Highlights: UVM, PMAP_NEW, bus_dma (only on some buses for now), new hardware support, possiblity for ELF, etc, etc. Too much to mention. This is still work in progress. video consoles might be broken, otherwise we have basically the same functionality as before plus more.
