2002-11-05 | Allocate by default 6 virtual consoles on alpha, as on i386, rather than | Miod Vallat
only one. X11 is configured here to start on ttyC5, like on i386 again. This requires alpha-specific changes to the X servers, that went in the tree before 3.2 was released. On tga-compatible boards, there are no virtual consoles available, and these changes will have no effect.
2002-10-23 | Add a trivial va_copy() macro to all architectures but powerpc | Todd C. Miller
(which I will leave for Dale since it needs special handling). From NetBSD (and same as sparc64). espie@ OK
2002-10-12 | Remove more '\n's from panic() statements. Both trailing and leading. | Kenneth R Westerback
Diff generated by Chris Kuethe.
2002-10-10 | protect against multiple inclusion; pointed out by naddy, miod ok | Peter Valchev
2002-10-07 | this removes the functionality of adding allocated | Michael Shalayeff
pages into the queue already containing allocated pages. breaks i386:setup_buffers() because of this.
2002-10-06 | No more need to initialize the result list before uvm_pglistalloc. | Artur Grabowski
2002-09-26 | renable sppp and lmc, now free | Theo de Raadt
2002-09-24 | Get rid of gx(4) and use em(4) since it supports more cards and works better | Nathan Binkert
overall. | |||
2002-09-23 | turn off sppp, lmc, and cz until various licenses on those components are | Theo de Raadt
resolved. sorry -- i've been warning people for some time that i would start to take this stance.
2002-09-12 | Change the PMAP_{MAP,UNMAP}_POOLPAGE api to take a vm_page as argument | Artur Grabowski
and return a VM_PAGE. This is to allow sparc64 to cheaply record the VAC color for those pages.
2002-09-10 | Change the pmap_zero_page and pmap_copy_page API to take the struct vm_page * | Artur Grabowski
instead of the pa. Most callers already had it handy and those who didn't only called it for managed pages and were outside time-critical code. This will allow us to make those functions clean and fast on sparc and sparc64 letting us to avoid unnecessary cache flushes. deraadt@ miod@ drahn@ ok.
2002-08-24 | aperture driver for alpha. It works here the same as on i386 | Matthieu Herrb
to allow access to VGA card's memory by mmapping /dev/xf86. The macdep.allowaperture does also control /dev/pci access. Ok miod@, deraadt@
2002-08-15 | fix END() label | Theo de Raadt
2002-08-09 | Add an explicit dependancy of assym.h to Makefile. | Miod Vallat
This makes sure it will be regenerated if you run config(8) again.
2002-07-30 | Add SIZE_MAX define. This is the same as SIZE_T_MAX but more portable. | Todd C. Miller
The only OSes I've seen that use SIZE_T_MAX are 4.4BSD-derived whereas SYSV things seem to use SIZE_MAX. It is also consistent with SSIZE_MAX (which we already have). deraadt@ OK
2002-07-24 | Pretty nasty hack to make non-exec mappings work. | Artur Grabowski
Instead of using FOE for just emulating references, we also keep track of a pages executability and don't remove the FOE bit if the page is not executable. This is implmented with horrible hacks. Maybe when I have time, I'll reimplment the whole pmap to allow this without ugly hacks (read: probably not this decade). The stack on alpha is now non-exec.
2002-07-21 | remove unsued variables. | Artur Grabowski
2002-07-20 | Remove unused variables. | Artur Grabowski
2002-07-20 | Instead of copying out the signal trampoline on top of the stack, create | Artur Grabowski
an uvm aobj, copy out the signal trampoline into it and share that page among all processes for the same emulation. This also requires us to actually be able to tell signal code where the trampoline is located, so introduce a new field in struct proc - p_sigcode that is a pointer to sigcode. This allows us to remove all the ugly calculations of the signal trampoline address done in every sendsig function in the tree (that's why so many files are changed). Tested by various people. ok deraadt@
2002-07-15 | repair tags building (due to obj dirs in /sys) | Michael Shalayeff
2002-07-10 | proper cdev_decl(ksyms), fix ksyms's broken functions | Michael Shalayeff
2002-07-10 | 'sez' is not an english word; ok deraadt@ | Jason Peel
2002-07-09 | Use BWX on cia as much as possible. | Artur Grabowski
It doesn't seem to cause problems anymore and it should simplify some things for X.
2002-07-07 | Add isadma to bsd.rd, for proper isapnp operation. | Miod Vallat
Found the hard way by pvalchev@
2002-07-05 | Sync the ethernet controllers list with GENERIC. | Miod Vallat
2002-07-04 | ep at isapnp works (dma on isapnp is still non-working). | Miod Vallat
And fix a comment while there.
2002-07-03 | sis(4) works on alpha, so move it out of the UNTESTED section. | Aaron Campbell
2002-06-30 | AlphaServer 800 and 1000 support; from NetBSD. Tested by Tor Houghton. | Miod Vallat
Added to floppy31 still fits.
2002-06-30 | Art says I shouldn't be shy, so uncomment lc entries. | Miod Vallat
2002-06-30 | Add lc[01] at isa entries, commented out. Tested and work fine. | Miod Vallat
2002-06-30 | Dummy bus_space_read_raw_region implementation. | Miod Vallat
2002-06-28 | Oops. Doing a diff before commit is not enough. You have to read the diff too. | Artur Grabowski
2002-06-28 | The IEEE fp stuff changed the rules for how fpu should be enabled. | Artur Grabowski
We kept too much of the old code in trap handling. This should fix floppies and bsd.rd on some machines.
2002-06-25 | No \n at the end of a panic() message... I thought all occurences had been | Miod Vallat
squashed already. | |||
2002-06-24 | move cdev_decl() for usb devices into one place. | Michael Shalayeff
usage of cdev_decl() in the driver code is more tricky since i have kqueue mods here and there and will fix that on that way through.
2002-06-23 | uid_t is unsigned | Theo de Raadt
2002-06-22 | Add ${PIPE} to CFLAGS | Todd C. Miller
2002-06-19 | natypos | Miod Vallat
2002-06-19 | using cdev_ugen_init for all sorts of usb devices is just one pint less ↵ | Michael Shalayeff
wrong than using cdev_decl_random for the same purpose
2002-06-16 | Oops, uncomment wsdisplay at vga, commented out by mistake last time. | Miod Vallat
2002-06-11 | Move cdev_lpt_init() to a common location. | Miod Vallat
2002-06-11 | No need to cdev_decl(ugen) twice. | Miod Vallat
2002-06-11 | Setup the ulpt device structures with cdev_ulpt_init, not cdev_lpt_init. | Miod Vallat
And yes, they are different macros with different results.
2002-06-08 | Always keep the symbols, don't hand that memory to the VM system. | Artur Grabowski
In most cases we'll have either DDB or /dev/ksyms and if someone really needs the memory they'll strip the kernel. Fixes alpha/2705.
2002-06-07 | Remove obsolete CLKF_BASEPRI(). ok niklas@, miod@ and art@ | Thomas Nordin
2002-06-04 | spelling; raj@cerias.purdue.edu | Theo de Raadt
2002-05-27 | left over __P removals | Theo de Raadt
2002-05-26 | - CPU_MAXID and CPU_CHIPSET were swapped in cpu.h | Matthieu Herrb
- add support to print machdep.chipset mib on alpha ok deraadt@
2002-05-18 | Until we start supporting various modifiers to trace, we have | Artur Grabowski
to treat the 'addr' the same way on all archs. This means that alpha can't do anything with the addr because we need a complete trap frame to be able to print a trace.
2002-05-18 | Rename the MD db_stack_trace_cmd to db_stack_trace_print. Add an argument | Artur Grabowski
that specifies which printf funciton it should use. Implement db_stack_trace_cmd in MI code. Thanks to miod@ for all the tests. |
