2006-03-24hppa has CardBus and USB as well so add umsm(4).Jonathan Gray
Pointed out by mickey.
2006-03-19remove unused bdbtofsb(bn) macroMartin Reindl
found by drahn@
2006-03-15Nuke dk_establish(), no longer used.Miod Vallat
2006-03-13* Add "pcitag_t *pba_bridgetag" to pci_attach_args. This is set toBrad Smith
NULL for root PCI busses. For busses behind a bridge, it points to a persistent copy of the bridge's pcitag_t. This can be very useful for machine-dependent PCI bus enumeration code. From NetBSD ok grange@ kettenis@
2006-03-12remove splimp.Brad Smith
2006-03-04Typos grab bag of the month, eyeballed by jmc@Miod Vallat
2006-02-06typos from alexey dobriyan;Jason McIntyre
2006-01-22b_cylin -> b_cylinder; no functional change.Miod Vallat
2006-01-10The __CONCAT macro here collides with the one in cdefs.h pulled in viaMartin Reindl
errno.h. Don't include errno.h and export EFAULT therefore, similiar to hppa.
2006-01-10missing cast to vaddr_tMartin Reindl
2006-01-09Disable an(4) on BE archs until it works.Jonathan Gray
2006-01-08Expose struct sigcontext, struct sigstat and struct sigaltstack for XPG4.2Todd C. Miller
2006-01-06Don't redefine SIZE_MAXTodd C. Miller
2006-01-06Adapt things to use __type_t instead of _BSD_TYPE_T_Todd C. Miller
Add new sys/_types.h header Include machine/_types.h or sys/_types.h where applicable
2006-01-06Merge machine/ansi.h and machine/types.h into machine/_types.h andTodd C. Miller
rename the types using the __ protected namespace (e.g. __size_t). Idea from FreeBSD.
2005-12-31Nuke unused cdev_wscons_init() macro.Miod Vallat
2005-12-30Now that errno.h and sys/errno.h are separate header files there is noTodd C. Miller
need to use the -Derrno=errno workaround added when __errno() was introduced. OK deraadt@
2005-12-27Remove unused sw_nblks field of struct swdevt. Then, remove swapconf()Miod Vallat
which duplicates work done by uvm_swap_init().
2005-12-25KERN_RESOURCE_SHORTAGE -> ENOMEMMiod Vallat
2005-12-22'spoofonly' does not mean what I thought it meant. The whole point isKenneth R Westerback
to read non-OpenBSD label information like MBRs and populate ('spoof') the OpenBSD disk label appropriately. So avoiding an I/O when doing 'spoofonly' is to miss the whole point. Backout all Sept. 26 and subsequent changes to disksubr.c files. The original CD problem with I/O errors on blank media will be addressed another way. Should fix the ext3 vs amd64 problems discussed on misc@. Thanks to steven@ for finally putting it terms that I understood. ok deraadt@
2005-12-14make va_arg() map to nothing; ok millertTheo de Raadt
2005-12-14convert _FOO_SOURCE -> __FOO_VISIBLE in machine. OK deraadt@Todd C. Miller
2005-12-13nuke unused BTOPKERNBASE defineMartin Reindl
pointed out by miod@
2005-12-13First step in include files overhaul. Use __FOO_VISIBLE (as definedTodd C. Miller
in sys/cdefs.h) instead of _FOO_SOURCE. Also fix several namespace pollution issues, including the byte order defines. OK deraadt@
2005-12-12Only include PROCFS on kernels which have either COMPAT_LINUX or COMPAT_SVR4,Miod Vallat
otherwise it's just a waste of bytes. ok deraadt@ mickey@
2005-12-06Remove fdescfsPedro Martelletto
2005-11-28use atop(), remove last traces of Mach macros from hppa and hppa64Martin Reindl
2005-11-24add lint-specific hacks. at the same time, clean out a lot of ancientTheo de Raadt
cruft for old compilers and environments. there may be a 2nd round of polishing after this; ok miod and others
2005-10-26no more hppa_round_page() and hppa_trunc_page() macrosMartin Reindl
ok mickey@
2005-09-27Don't try to read the DOS label from the device if spoofonly is 1.Kenneth R Westerback
This changes the architectures which use code identical to the amd64 disksubr.c. macppc seems different so it will be separate. The remaining archs don't try to read a DOS label. ok deraadt@
2005-09-25Turn CPU_INFO_FOREACH into a real construct, like all queue(3) iterators,Miod Vallat
instead of the contents of a for() loop. No functional change. From the m88k SMP tree; ok art@ deraadt@ [complete diff this time]

2005-09-15In syscall(), do not recompute the struct proc * after the syscall hasMiod Vallat
succeeded. This used to be necessary for fork(), when returning in the child, but we return in the child in child_return() which does TRT. ok art@
2005-09-15Change child_return() to record a proper ktrace record for vfork childMiod Vallat
processes. ok art@ uwe@ (some time ago)
2005-09-12Change the NKMEMPAGES range to 4-64MB for 32bit arches, and 8-128MB for 64bitMiod Vallat
arches; except on sparc where the range is 4-8 for !sun4m and 4-64 for sun4m, selected at runtime.
2005-08-14Add mquery to the system calls which need extra care due to off_t argumentsMiod Vallat
and reversed stack direction; ok mickey@
2005-08-06We do not need a char machine_arch[] constant.Miod Vallat

2005-05-25This patch is mortly art's work and was done *a year* ago. Art wants to thankNiklas Hallqvist
everyone for the prompt review and ok of this work ;-) Yeah, that includes me too, or maybe especially me. I am sorry. Change the sched_lock to a mutex. This fixes, among other things, the infamous "telnet localhost &" problem. The real bug in that case was that the sched_lock which is by design a non-recursive lock, was recursively acquired, and not enough releases made us hold the lock in the idle loop, blocking scheduling on the other processors. Some of the other processors would hold the biglock though, which made it impossible for cpu 0 to enter the kernel... A nice deadlock. Let me just say debugging this for days just to realize that it was all fixed in an old diff noone ever ok'd was somewhat of an anti-climax. This diff also changes splsched to be correct for all our architectures.
