2010-04-27 | Disable builtin malloc and log2 on gcc3 arches, a no-op for gcc3 | Jonathan Gray
but required for gcc4. ok kettenis@ deraadt@ marco@, log2 suggested by robert@
2010-04-27 | a bit more unification to the arm way of doing this | Theo de Raadt
2010-04-27 | shorten preamble | Theo de Raadt
2010-04-27 | No need for a specific .SUFFIXES list; ok drahn | Theo de Raadt
2010-04-27 | noone needs comments about QUOTA and TRACE | Theo de Raadt
2010-04-27 | over the years we have moved to a machine+architectures scheme that has | Theo de Raadt
two directories. in reality, because of how we place files, it has four: .../arch/A, .../arch/A/A, .../arch/M, and .../arch/M/M formalize this A/A and M/M scheme directly in the Makefiles, which makes them a lot more similar drahn likes the idea a lot
2010-04-27 | use -f assymp.dep again; worked out with miod | Theo de Raadt
2010-04-27 | alpha/conf/Makefile.alpha | Theo de Raadt
2010-04-26 | even cleaner mach/arch/machdir/archdir | Theo de Raadt
2010-04-26 | next step towards unification: make all the genassym chunks handle both | Theo de Raadt
arch and machine dependent files (and add the missing files) ok miod drahn
2010-04-26 | next unification step: move all MD naming _mach, _machdir, _arch, and _archdir | Theo de Raadt
ok miod drahn | |||
2010-04-26 | first step of unification: spaces at end of lines; comments, etc. | Theo de Raadt
ok miod | |||
2010-04-21 | - missing rcs id | Jasper Lievisse Adriaanse
2010-04-21 | more cleanup to cope with the change that tries to make proc.h not act | Theo de Raadt
like it is everything.h ok tedu
2010-04-17 | - correctly set cpu_model: instead of a vendor + model, set the cpu type | Jasper Lievisse Adriaanse
ok miod@ | |||
2010-04-04 | OpenBSD uses bus_space_copy_#, not bus_space_copy_region_#. Make sure only the | Miod Vallat
first name is used, and remove any #define foo_region foo compatibility defines. Also, on sparc64, do not provide a `raw' version of bus_space_copy.
2010-03-30 | Add missing bthub device entries on arches that support bluetooth. | Matthieu Herrb
ok miod@, deraadt@, todd@.
2010-03-03 | Enable urndis(4) everywhere that has USB enabled to get it tested. | Michael Knudsen
Much prodding from deraadt.
2010-01-25 | add uthum there too. ok drahn@ | Matthieu Herrb
2009-12-25 | Implement bus_space_vaddr(). | Miod Vallat
2009-11-24 | - add rcs id's. | Jasper Lievisse Adriaanse
2009-10-19 | Correct a target name so that we don't rebuild vers.o (and then | Philip Guenthe
bsd) unless some other object has changed. Rebuild and reinstall in /usr/src/usr.sbin/config/ after updating! "I like it" deraadt@
2009-08-13 | Replace the error strings that were being passed around with much simpler | Theo de Raadt
errnos. Note that the error strings are being ignored, since we long ago decided to not spam the console, and there is no other nice way to use the errors (without changing the ioctls to pass it back) The errno is now useful, since we can pass b_error from failing IO up, and the drive can decide how to use that ok miod
2009-08-13 | wire vscsi up to a cdev | David Gwynne
for claudio@ ok deraadt@
2009-08-09 | Introduce option DDB_STRUCT. Kernels compiled with this option (except on | Miod Vallat
a few arches where toolchain limitations apply) will embed some symbolic information about the various structs used within the kernel, and have new ddb commands allowing struct display and some useful information gathering. Kernel rodata increase varies accross platforms from ~150KB to ~300KB. This option is not enabled by default.
2009-08-09 | No need to clean genassym{.,o} during `make clean', genassym.sh does this | Miod Vallat
for us. | |||
2009-06-03 | Arla client rename from xfs to nnpfs for later upgrades. Tested on various ↵ | Janne Johansson
arches. ok todd@ beck@ | |||
2009-05-17 | mux too, like GENERICarmish/conf/RAMDISK | Theo de Raadt
2009-05-15 | Enable udl(4) and ukbd(4) because this lets a landisk actually have a | Theo de Raadt
non-serial "console"; it is not really a console since we probe for it so late. But enabling it in ttys(5) works with getty...
2009-05-15 | do not fake out some config-supplied foo.h / NFOO files | Theo de Raadt
2009-05-15 | pull in the right wscons/rasops parts | Theo de Raadt
2009-05-01 | Add option USER_PCICONF. | Miod Vallat
2009-04-20 | Add a BUS_DMA_ZERO flag for bus_dmamem_alloc() to return zeroed memory. | Owain Ainsworth
Saves every damned driver calling bzero(), and continues the M_ZERO, PR_ZERO symmetry.
2009-04-14 | Convert the waitok field of uvm_pglistalloc to "flags", more will be added soon. | Owain Ainsworth
For the possibility of sleeping, the first two flags are UVM_PLA_WAITOK and UVM_PLA_NOWAIT. It is an error not to show intention, so assert that one of the two is provided. Switch over every caller in the tree to using the appropriate flag. ok art@, ariane@
2009-03-15 | Introduce splsoftassert(), similar to splassert() but for soft interrupt | Miod Vallat
levels. This will allow for platforms where soft interrupt levels do not map to real hardware interrupt levels to have soft ipl values overlapping hard ipl values without breaking spl asserts.
2009-03-15 | In _bus_dmamem_alloc(), do not bother printing avail_start and avail_end | Miod Vallat
in the DEBUG code, since these values aren't used there anymore.
2009-03-07 | When allocating memory in bus_dmamem_alloc() with uvm_pglistalloc(), do not | Miod Vallat
try to be smart for the address range, uvm_pglistalloc() is smart enough nowadays.
2009-02-10 | remove run(4) from some RAMDISK | Damien Bergamini
2009-02-10 | enable run(4) everywhere where ural(4) and rum(4) are enabled. | Damien Bergamini
run(4) has been reported to work on sparc64 by Maxim Belooussov so I'm pretty confident that it works on all arches.
2009-01-25 | Remove /dev/drum and related code. | Miod Vallat
2009-01-11 | Fix a sed bug in the makefile's depend target. | Paul Irofti
What happened was that the output of mkdep was fed to a sed expression that trimmed a bit more than required and also failed to work when attempting to do make depend with pcc. Example: genassym_c.o: /tmp/genassym.whatever ../../../../../sys/param.h \ was changed to: assym.h: \ but what was intended was: assym.h: ../../../../../sys/param.h \ For the pcc -M output things were a bit different and after the make depend the genassym entry would still remain and make would fail. This affected all platforms except amd64 and sgi. Okay miod@.
2008-12-06 | revert all changes related to the mpsafe intr handler. i screwed up the commit | Ted Unangst
and even then it didn't work. we have higher standards than this.
2008-12-06 | mpsafe intr_establish that doesn't get biglock, so that we may dream of the ↵ | Ted Unangst
day when this is useful. mostly macro magic that does nothing. only actually useful on amd64 for now, compliments of art.
2008-12-01 | terse is good, more readable; please commit deraadt@ | Todd T. Fries
2008-11-30 | It's annoying to have an 2+ hour kernel compile die in ld because bluetooth | Mats O Jansson
requires ukbd, which is not enabled on landisk. I can't understand why someone would like bluetooth keyboard or mouse on landisk without a display. -moj
2008-11-26 | Enable Bluetooth (btd and btctl are not hooked into the build yet) | Uwe Stuehler
2008-11-24 | Import btsco(4) from NetBSD to work on it | Uwe Stuehler
