2013-11-27Instead of comparing the lower and higher addresses of all the multicastMartin Pieuchot
entries to decide if the IFF_ALLMULTI flag should be set, check if there is at least one real range between them. This should not change the behavior of any driver but if you encounter any problem, feel free to revert the offending chunk and ping me about it. ok naddy@, dlg@
2013-10-07Do not invoke ttymodem() directly, but l_modem from the current linedisc.Miod Vallat
2013-09-24Sync the MI LANCE code ( le(4) ) with NetBSD, except for the following:Miod Vallat
- the am7990_get() - now lance_get() - is unchanged. - the interrupt acknowledge logic is unchanged, and will disable interrupts, then acknowledge all interrupt conditions. Add ILACC (79900) support (from NetBSD). Both LANCE (am7990.c) and ILACC (am79900.c) code share as much common code (lance.c) as possible. This affects all le(4) attachments, but the changes are mostly mechanical, to split am7990-specific parts from lance-agnostic parts. Compile tested on all affected platforms. Tested on alpha, hp300, luna88k, mvme88k, sparc, sparc64 and vax.
2013-09-05Most network drivers include netinet/in_var.h, but apparently theyAlexander Bluhm
don't have to. Remove these include lines from mvme68k, mvme88k, sparc drivers. test and OK miod@

2011-07-17Backout a bunch of my SCSI commits from c2k11. At least one of theseMatthew Dempsky
is causing problems when trying to boot sparc64 from an isp(4). Verified to fix the sparc64/isp(4) regression by krw@; ok deraadt@
2011-07-08First batch of converting SCSI HBAs from setting saa_targets andMatthew Dempsky

2010-12-26Kill pmap_phys_address(), and force every driver's mmap() routine to returnMiod Vallat
a physical address [more precisely, something suitable to pass to pmap_enter()'sphysical address argument]. This allows MI drivers to implement mmap() routines without having to know about the pmap_phys_address() implementation and #ifdef obfuscation.
2010-12-23Better malloc the right size, overruns are so 200x... Pass the brown paperMiod Vallat
bag, please.
2010-11-18Do not #include <sys/dkstat.h> if you don't need anything from it.Miod Vallat

2010-06-29Shrink struct scsi_sense_data and thus the sense member of scsi_xfer,Kenneth R Westerback
to 18 bytes by removing the extra_bytes field. sbic.c was the only consumer, and that was in a DEBUG message. 18 bytes is the minimum length mandated by the SCSI spec. Anything more is vendor/device specific information. This fixes a usb key that yuo@ had, and probably others. Any device that decides to pay attention to extra sense data must allocate its own space. ok marco@ matthew@ miod@ yuo@
2010-06-28Remove all adapter-specific 'struct scsi_device's. They are never used. FirstKenneth R Westerback
step in elminating 'struct scsi_device' entirely. Spotted and initial diff from matthew@. ok matthew@ dlg@ deraadt@ marco@ miod@
2010-06-28Allow tty drivers to request larger buffers at attach time using aTheo de Raadt
max-baud-rate hint. Adjust TTYHOG (the nearly full logic) to this new situation. The larger buffers are required by the very high speed KDDI devices in Japan (CF com, or USB ucom) so those are the only two drivers which currently ask for a larger buffer size. ok yasuoka miod
2010-06-27More include necessary after <sys/user.h> inclusion removalMiod Vallat
2010-06-27Bunch of include adjustements to restore compilability.Miod Vallat
2010-06-26Don't #include <sys/user.h> into files that don't need the stuffPhilip Guenthe
it defines. In some cases, this means pulling in uvm.h or pcb.h instead, but most of the inclusions were just noise. Tested on alpha, amd64, armish, hppa, i386, macpcc, sgi, sparc64, and vax, mostly by krw and naddy. ok krw@
2010-05-20New scsi code seems to be stable. Pluck previously identifiedKenneth R Westerback
low-hanging splbio/splx pairs that are no longer needed and see if this reveals any hidden scsi flaws. ok dlg@
2010-04-12Some of the line disciplines want to check for suser. Better to pass themTed Unangst

2010-03-27Fix fallout of the scsi_cmd() interface change.Miod Vallat
2010-03-23Change the scsi_cmd function member of scsi_adapter from int toKenneth R Westerback
void. Use XS_NO_CCB error in the scsi command (xs) to report the NO_CCB condition. Eliminates all SUCCESSFULLY_QUEUED and COMPLETE confusion and untangles the midlayer from the adapter a bit more. Eyes and some fixes by miod@ There may be some compile issues on little used (i.e. I don't have any) drivers but the change is mechanical and thus easy to remedy. ok dlg@
2010-01-10Set ITSDONE in scsi_done() and zap trivial instances of setting itKenneth R Westerback
in the drivers just before calling scsi_done(). ok dlg@ beck@
2010-01-09Zap all setting of ITSDONE in drivers that don't look at it. NobodyKenneth R Westerback
else cares so it's just noise. Drivers that actually look at ITSDONE are unchanged. ok marco@ (for his files) dlg@ beck@
2009-11-22Remove only use in the tree of ESCAPE_NOT_SUPPORTED. Which, ironically,Kenneth R Westerback
wasn't supported. Nuke #define of ESCAPE_NOT_SUPPORTED at the same time. ok miod@
2009-11-22Bring last drivers fully into the NO_CCB world by replacingKenneth R Westerback
TRY_AGAIN_LATER uses with equivalent NO_CCB. Eliminates confusion between the two as was always intended. buf I/O's that can't be started get pushed back onto the front of the queue and retried. Others get sent back to originator as failures. No more epi-cycle looping inside the SCSI midlayer hoping the problem goes away. Various testers, no objection from miod@ as vs(4) was tested by nick@.
2009-11-09Every selwakeup() should have a matching KNOTE() (even if kqueue isn'tNicholas Marriott
supported it doesn't do any harm), so put the KNOTE() in selwakeup() itself and remove it from any occurences where both are used, except one for kqueue itself and one in sys_pipe.c (where the selwakeup is under a PIPE_SEL flag). Based on a diff from tedu. ok deraadt
2009-10-31in the absense of link state handling, drivers should still be silent; ok miodTheo de Raadt
2009-10-31Use suser when possible. Suggested by miod@.Federico G. Schwindt
miod@ deraadt@ ok.
2009-10-31Add missing KNOTE() calls after selwakeup(), until we decide if the KNOTE()Theo de Raadt
calls can go directly into selwakeup() safely long discussion with nicm, murmers of consent from tedu and miod, noone else seems to care of kqueue is busted as long as it makes their sockets move data fast... pretty sad.
2009-05-31Fix definition of CL_FIFO_MAX to match what the hardware can do; this inMiod Vallat
turn fixes a stack smash in cl_rxintr().
2009-03-15Generic softinterrupt code for m68k platforms, now copied from m88k.Miod Vallat
2009-03-01Support for MVME141 boards. Tested with both VME and VSB memory boardsMiod Vallat

2009-03-01Tweak pccspeed() to not report 33MHz boards as 50MHz (until better code isMiod Vallat

2009-03-01Support for MVME165 board - code written in april 2006, eventually debuggedMiod Vallat
last month.
2009-03-01Fix bus_space_map() on intio space, it is not mapped 1:1...Miod Vallat
2009-03-01Clean up match routines vs board id; this should give 166, 172 and 176 aMiod Vallat
