__P removal.
2002-03-14First round of __P removal in sysTodd C. Miller
2002-03-07Clean up BUS_DMA_* flags, and make sure all arch's define:Jason Wright
BUS_DMA_READ, BUS_DMA_WRITE, and BUS_DMA_STREAMING
2002-02-17Patch from Daniel Lucq <daniel@lucq.org>Mats O Jansson
The patch allows you to change the value of NMBCLUSTERS, BUFCACHEPERCENT and NKMEMPAGES using the config command, instead of recompiling the kernel. This is the kernel part of the patch. I have compiled it on i386, sparc64, alpha and macppc. -moj ok art@ maja@
2002-02-11o add __weak_alias definition.Federico G. Schwindt
o empty definitions if !__GNUC__ miod@ testing and ok.
2002-01-31Add support for VAX 4000 500A.Hugh Graham
Thanks to kernel testing by Andrew Reynolds.
2001-12-06No need to keep dummy fields in cpu_disklabel structures.Miod Vallat
2001-12-05VM_KMEM_SIZE no longer needed.Artur Grabowski
2001-12-05make nkmempages dynamic based on memory. okay art@ from netbsd:Niels Provos
date: 2000/02/11 19:22:52; author: thorpej; Add some very simple code to auto-size the kmem_map. We take the amount of physical memory, divide it by 4, and then allow machine dependent code to place upper and lower bounds on the size. Export the computed value to userspace via the new "vm.nkmempages" sysctl. NKMEMCLUSTERS is now deprecated and will generate an error if you attempt to use it. The new option, should you choose to use it, is called NKMEMPAGES, and two new options NKMEMPAGES_MIN and NKMEMPAGES_MAX allow the user to configure the bounds in the kernel config file.
2001-12-04Yet another sync to NetBSD uvm.Artur Grabowski
Today we add a pmap argument to pmap_update() and allocate map entries for kernel_map from kmem_map instead of using the static entries. This should get rid of MAX_KMAPENT panics. Also some uvm_loan problems are fixed.
2001-11-30Now that pmaps can have vm_page_md, make pmap_physseg optional.Artur Grabowski
2001-11-28Make pmap_update functions into nops so that we can have a consistentArtur Grabowski
pmap_update API (right now it's nop).
2001-11-14Change Vax LDPGSZ to 4k.Hugh Graham
2001-11-06Replace inclusion of <vm/foo.h> with the correct <uvm/bar.h> when necessary.Miod Vallat
(Look ma, I might have broken the tree)
2001-10-01Add system variant types for VAXstation 4000/60 and MicroVAX 3100m80.Hugh Graham
2001-09-22Remove more old, dusty, unused defines.Miod Vallat
2001-08-25Bring in some useful stuff from NetBSD. Mostly work by Matt Thomas,Hugh Graham
and concerned with intvec counting. Also some ANSIfication.
2001-08-18Move pmap_{de,}activate to vm/pmap.h, it's same on all archs.Artur Grabowski
2001-08-12#(endif|else) foo is incorrect, make it #endif /* foo */Heikki Korpela
deraadt@ ok
2001-07-30Change:Artur Grabowski
int bus_dmamem_mmap(bus_dma_tag_t, bus_dma_segment_t, int, int, int, int); to: paddr_t bus_dmamem_mmap(bus_dma_tag_t, bus_dma_segment_t, int, int, off_t, int); To allow mmaping offsets larger than INT_MAX. And to simply make more sense.
2001-07-18Get rid of the PMAP_NEW option by making it mandatory for all archs.Artur Grabowski
The archs that didn't have a proper PMAP_NEW now have a dummy implementation with wrappers around the old functions.
2001-07-06change MSIZE to 256, okay @deraadtNiels Provos
2001-06-27MNN is no longer an option.Artur Grabowski
2001-06-24Define splvm() for arches who don't already provide it, with the sameMiod Vallat
definition as splimp(). art@ ok
2001-06-15Compile kernel with -Wall, and fix a few issues for this to work.Miod Vallat
ok hugh@
2001-06-13Recent changes in sys/netinet/ assume you get setsoftnet() viaMiod Vallat
<machine/param.h>, which was not the case for these arches.
2001-05-16Fix vax to work with recent pmap_change_wiring() -> pmap_unwire()Hugh Graham
changes. Mostly from NetBSD.
2001-05-13PAGE_MASK is (PAGE_SIZE - 1), *not* (PAGE_SHIFT - 1)Todd C. Miller
2001-05-10Provide PAGE_{MASK,SHIFT,SIZE} constants.Miod Vallat
2001-05-09More sync to NetBSD.Artur Grabowski
- Change pmap_change_wiring to pmap_unwire because it's only called that way. - Remove pmap_pageable because it's seldom implemented and when it is, it's either almost useless or incorrect. The same information is already passed to the pmap anyway by pmap_enter and pmap_unwire.
2001-05-06Update some comments wrt. the CLSIZE changes.Artur Grabowski
And remove that memory price comment from 1981. It is amusing, but also confusing because the math in there is only correct on vax.
2001-05-05Rename configure() to cpu_configure().Artur Grabowski
Move it from cpu_startup() to main().
2001-05-05Get rid of CLSIZE and all related stuff.Artur Grabowski
CLSIZE -> 1 CLBYTES -> PAGE_SIZE OLOFSET -> PAGE_MASK etc. At the same time some archs needed some cleaning in vmparam.h so that goes in at the same time.
2001-04-09A much tidier layout, from NetBSD.Hugh Graham
2001-03-16Add some more model subtypes from Antonio Carlini.Hugh Graham
Won't try to match VAX_STYP_692 until we can find a 4000 70x and learn more about this model.
2001-03-12Omega is now VAX_BTYP_1301. Also add an STYP for 4000 600.Hugh Graham
2001-02-25Code to enable the cache on VS4000/VLC. From mhitch@netbsd.org.Hugh Graham
2001-02-25Provide both system sub type and system variant data for KA45 and KA48.Hugh Graham
It's not yet clear which is better used to differentiate these models.
2001-02-24Gone the vsbus route for now.Hugh Graham
2001-02-24Support for VAX 4000/{2,4,5}00 from Michael Kukat. untested.Hugh Graham
2001-02-06Pick up work by matt@netbsd.org to get scsi working on vaxstation 4000/90.Hugh Graham
Is it working? I don't know.. Anyone have a machine to spare?
2001-01-30Update with SIE data provided by:Hugh Graham
Michael Kukat, Martin Domany, and Mark Cooper
2001-01-28Basic support for boardtype 1303 (Cheetah) machines.Hugh Graham
Layout of the DZ's registers (among other things) determined by a massive amount of trial and error. Work by Brandon and me.
2001-01-27g/c superfluous definitions. (millert ok)Hugh Graham
2000-11-24Support 16 slices per device, like the other OpenBSD arches.Hugh Graham
