2013-04-21the DVMRP protocol generation number can work beyond 2038 because itTheo de Raadt
is unsigned. Cast it specifically, with a comment, to make this more clear.
2013-03-11handle ECONNABORTED errors from accept(). In many code blocks they can beTheo de Raadt
ignored silently and without aborting, much like EINTR and EWOULDBLOCK are. ok's from various maintainers of these directories...
2013-03-06as done in ospf{,6}d/relayd, sync yyerror in various other daemons withStuart Henderson
that from bgpd, so that it logs to syslog when daemonized.

2011-08-20Decouple log_verbose() from log_init() so the verbose flag stays set withStuart Henderson
"-v" (previously only "-vd" worked). Similar to recent ospfd commit. ok claudio@
2011-07-04LINK_STATE_IS_UP() cleanup userland part. There is no need to specialClaudio Jeker
case carp(4) interfaces anymore. LINK_STATE_IS_UP() almost always does the right job. OK deraadt@ henning@ This needs a -current kernel or link state may be not reported correctly.
2011-04-30no need to escape |, pointed out by jmc@Stuart Henderson
"it's worth killing, if just to stop it being copied all over the place"
2011-04-10Correct the logic on when fib-update is set. Test the flag don'tJonathan Gray
bitwise or it.
2011-04-06Avoid using NULL in non-pointer contexts: use 0 for integer values and '\0'Miod Vallat
for chars.
2010-12-31Add missing #includes instead of assuming that some system header pulls inPhilip Guenthe
the needed bits ok deraadt@, millert@
2010-09-02remove trailing spaces and tabs from source code; no binary changesIgor Sobrado
(verified by both sthen@ and me). ok sthen@; "just commit it" claudio@
2010-08-03fix linecount bug with comments spanning multiple linesHenning Brauer
problem reported with the obvious fix for bgpd by Sebastian Benoit <benoit-lists at fb12.de>, also PR 6432 applied to all the others by yours truly. ok theo isn't it amazing how far this parser (and more) spread?
2010-05-26Move imsg into libutil and add a man page.Nicholas Marriott
Minor bump for libutil. Previous versions of this diff and man page looked at by various people. "you should just commit" deraadt
2010-05-26Rename some imsg bits to make namespace collisions less likely buf toNicholas Marriott
ibuf, buf_read to ibuf_read, READ_BUF_SIZE to IBUF_READ_SIZE. ok henning gilles claudio jacekm deraadt
2010-05-14Use calloc() instead of malloc() to allocate the connection structure. ThisClaudio Jeker
way the memory is zeroed. This is equivalent to the relayd commit by reyk. OK reyk, jsg
2010-04-27imsg.h does not need sys/tree.h.Nicholas Marriott
ok eric
2010-04-07Remove XXX comment and just close received fd if calloc() fails.Nicholas Marriott
If this happens the imsg may no longer be usable as there may be queued messages, but this is a) already the case with the code now, and b) would be the case if recvmsg() fails anyway, so we can document that -1 from imsg_read() invalidates the struct imsgbuf. discussed with and ok eric
2010-02-21Kill double declaration of control_imsg_relay().Michele Marchetto
From Christiano F. Haesbaert. ok claudio@
2010-02-08...and yet another typo copied from ospfd: the ev_sighup event handlerPhilip Guenthe
should handle SIGHUP and not SIGTERM. SIGTERM is already handled by ev_sigterm.
2010-02-08Use SIGCHLD for the sigchild handler not SIGINT twice.Philip Guenthe
(This was inherited from ospfd; claudio fixed it there some time ago) Spotted in ripd by haesbaert <at> haesbaert.org

2009-11-02Yet another implementation of IMSG_CTL_LOG_VERBOSE. Similar to the one inClaudio Jeker
ripd, ospfd and friends. OK michele, henning, sthen
2009-10-22write UNIX-domain in a more consistent way; while here, replace aIgor Sobrado

2009-09-15Enclose repeated buffer draining code in a new msgbuf_drain()Jacek Masiulaniec
function, which is additionally exported for use by others. It will be needed by smtpd's SSL module when the SMTP client code is changed to replace libevent's evbuffers with our msgbuf_* API. ok gilles@ henning@ guenther@ eric@
2009-09-06When dvmrpd receives a prune, it must checks if every downstream memberMichele Marchetto
on that interfaces has already sent prunes. If so (and there are no local groups) removes the interface from the downstream list. ok claudio@
2009-09-04Dvrmpd inherited the same yesno porblem from bgpd. Make sure it throwsClaudio Jeker
a proper syntax error.
2009-08-08Make imsg_clear close and free any fds in the received fd queue as well asNicholas Marriott
freeing the msgbuf. While here also remove an unnecessary while loop. ok eric pyr
2009-07-23make buf_write() behave like msgbuf_write(): send out only theEric Faurot
bytes that were filled, not the whole buffer. ok pyr@ gilles@
2009-07-13If there are no downstream members for a particular prefix, send a pruneMichele Marchetto
upstream. ok claudio@
2009-06-25Another kroute.c code with missing RTM_VERSION checks.Claudio Jeker

2009-06-08revert this change by eric@:David Gwynne
Make the imsg protocol network-safe. it might be network safe, but half the imsg based daemons on my firewalls dont run anymore.
2009-06-07Change the way fds passed over a socket are retreived on the receiving side.Eric Faurot
Currently the receiver fetches an imsg via imsg_get() and if he expects an fd, he then calls imsg_get_fd() to fetch the next fd queued on the imsgbuf from which the imsg came. This changes hides the fd queueing mechanism to the API user. When closing an imsg with an fd, the message is flagged so that the receiving end knows it must dequeue the fd in imsg_get() and return it with the imsg structure. This way there is no (less) possible screw up from imsg_get_fd() not being called directly after imsg_get() by the user. The retreived imsg is self-contained. ok pyr@, "I like that" henning@
2009-06-07Make the imsg protocol network-safe.Eric Faurot

2009-06-06change the imsg header fields a bit to prepare for upcoming changes.Eric Faurot
add a flag field, use u_int32_t for pid_t and extend type to 32 bits for padding. ok pyr@
